Fulgar’s eco-responsible fibres on show in Milano
Italian polyamide producer Fulgar has progressively expanded its range of low impact yarns, the latest being Q-Geo, which derives 46% of its make from industrial, non-edible corn. This new bio-polyamide is said to have greater moisture management properties compared to conventional nylon. It adds to Fulgar’s portfolio of innovative eco-responsible yarns: Q-Nova, a recycled nylon, Amni Soul Eco, which offers accelerated decomposition, Q-Cycle, which includes difficult to recycle plastics in its make, and a biobased castor bean oil derived yarn Evo.

At Milano Unica, which closes today, upscale knitter Gruppo Dondi featured the new Q-Geo yarn in its collections.

"We will continue working to develop an increasingly responsible and traceable supply chain, positioning Fulgar at the forefront of innovation while supporting our partners with our green solutions,” commented Fulgar marketing manager Daniela Antunes.
