Fulgar and Wråd aim to offer fresh perspective on polyamide

Italian yarn producer Fulgar has launched an ‘edutainment’ series in collaboration with Wråd, a consultancy and creative studio founded by Matteo Ward.

‘Tracing the Fashion of the Future’ unfolds through four videos designed to engage both industry professionals and consumers on the topic of responsibility in textile raw materials.

The series aims to offer a new perspective on polyamide (nylon) – “a material often perceived as problematic and polluting” – said the partners.

The first episode, ‘Beyond the Material: The Real Challenge of Sustainability’, opens the series by shifting the focus from individual products to the system as a whole. It invites viewers to reflect on the need to build a system capable of integrating innovation, thoughtful resource management, and attention to social and environmental impacts.

The following episodes will delve into Fulgar’s portfolio of eco-friendly products: Q-Nova, a recycled polyamide fibre made from regenerated raw materials; Evo, a 100% bio-based polyamide yarn derived from renewable sources such as castor beans and industrial corn; and Q-Cycle, a polyamide yarn in which 100% of the raw material needed for its production is replaced by pyrolysis oil sourced from end-of-life tires.

Daniela Antunes, marketing manager at Fulgar, said: “Today more than ever, it is essential to understand what lies behind a fabric or garment. With this project, we want to provide a tool for knowledge and reflection while stimulating an open and practical dialogue. Talking about responsibility also means educating: only an informed consumer can become a true driver of change.”
