Fulgar’s Q-Cycle featured by Sweaty Betty
UK activewear brand Sweaty Betty has chosen to use a recycled polyamide yarn made by Italy-based Fulgar in its new Athlete collection. Q-Cycle is a polyamide 6.6 yarn made from difficult to recycle waste, including tires, using a mass balance method.

It offers the same technical benefits as virgin nylon, with a “significantly lower environmental impact”, the company said.

The new Athlete collection features ten performance pieces, from seamless tanks and cropped tops to short or long-sleeve tee-shirts made from a four-way stretch, sweat-wicking knit, with technical panels in ribbed or mesh fabrics.

Fiona Hannam, product technology lead for Sweaty Betty, noted that Q-Cycle offered the “highest standards of quality and sustainability”.
