Ortovox introduces MTB range for SS 2026
German outdoor brand Ortovox is diversifying into mountain biking next year with the launch of Sequence, a new collection which has two specific ranges, Trail and Free. The brand said the products were “designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers”, and also collaborated with two key suppliers, SQLab, for its padding, and Gore-Tex, for its ePE membrane. Products in the Trail range are designed for technical outings involving steep terrains, whereas the Free segment addresses less stringent needs with looser fitting styles and fabrics made from merino wool blends with Tencel lyocell.

The eco-responsible brand has chosen bluesign compliant fabrics, banned the presence of PFAs and chosen a 100% recycled polyester made from pre- and post-consumer textile waste. Some items are given a Microban finish to ward off smells. The inaugural collection features a palette of muted natural colours and also includes packs made from 100% recycled polyamide.

In line with its commitment to supporting safe practices in winter mountain sports, the company based in Taufkirchen intends to include mountain biking in its Ortovox Safety Academy programme to educate athletes on basic safety principles when out in remote terrains. A collaboration with the Deutsche Initiative Mountainbike (DIMB).
