Allied doubles down on transparency

Down supplier Allied Feather + Down is working with Green Threads DPP for an audit of its down processing facilities in preparation for the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and Digital Product Passports.

The European legislation, which is expected to come into force at the end of this year, will require brands to be more transparent about their materials and supply chain.

Daniel Uretsky, president with AlliedFeather + Down, said: “As a renewable and biodegradable byproduct of the food industry, down is one of the most sustainable insulation options currently on the market. Now, with the work we are doing with Green Threads, we will have additional data to support these claims, allowing us to help futureproof our partner brands and their customers as new transparency regulations and requirements are implemented.”

Ross Alexander, CEO of Green Threads DPP, added: “The audits will help Allied and their brand partners more easily navigate future compliance requirements and create a point of differentiation at retail.”

Allied will be exhibiting at Première Vision Paris, September 16-18.
