Wise introduces full autonomy pack for trail runners
French ultra trail specialist Wise is introducing a pack system designed to allow endurance runners to bivouac and more freedom to cover longer distances.
Wise’s new Running Bag has a siloed construction which ensures distributed weight and can hold a tent, sleeping bag, mattress and stove. Patented fins on the sides ensure a close fit and stability. The pack is available in 12 L, the 333, or 24L, the 555, and each one comes in six sizes.
Like all of the brand’s products, every single detail is carefully constructed to allow easy access during running and reduce unwanted movement. The structure of the pack is made from a two-way stretch fabric developed by Italian mill Taiana. This makes the pockets remain stable while offering high lateral stretch for breathing, said Wise.
Founded in Annecy in 2020 by long distance runners Axelle Nardoux and Guillaume Boccas, the brand has seen sales grow by 125% per annum these past five years. Three of its products were worn by the winners of last year’s Montblanc Ultra trail (UTMB).
Wise has also chosen to apply ecodesign principles in the development of its products, several are made from fabrics produced in France by Payen.
A new logo and catchline, Born Free, are being introduced this year.
