Vaude’s CottonCore picks up prize
The new CottonCore collection launched by Vaude and manufactured in its facility in Germany won a Design Award for Sustainable Collections, a prize delivered by VDMD, a network of designers working in fashion, textiles, interiors and accessories, at Innatex, a trade show for sustainable textiles.
The lifestyle collection is, as it names implies, made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, and the buckles are made from a material partially derived from castor oil. The short product range – a hip bag, shoulder bag and day pack – was designed from the start to be made in the brand’s own manufacturing facility in Tettnang.
