Plastic from the oceans gets new lease of life

Apparel brand G-Star Raw has teamed up with Bionic Yarn for a new collection which includes the first denim to be woven from fibres from recycled plastic collected from the oceans.

Backed by singer and music producer Pharrell Williams, who announced a Bionic collaboration with adidas in March, the RAW for the Oceans collection also includes t-shirts, jumpers and caps and is the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the companies.
