Taiwanese sportswear supplier sets record

Taiwan textile and apparel supplier Makalot has reported revenue growth of 14% for the first seven months of the year to NT23.72 billion ($725 million).

Increasing orders have also led to record pre-tax income for the period, at NT$1.55 billion ($46 million).

The manufacturer has expanded capacity recently after what it claims is growing global demand for sportswear.

Orders for the fourth quarter are 20% higher than for the same period last year.
