Decrease in visitors to Denim Première Vision

26/05/2016
The 2016 Denim Première Vision fair in Barcelona recorded a total of 3,803 visitors, an 8% drop on the figures from last year’s May edition of the event. Representatives from 1,930 companies were in attendance.

The organisers attributed this dip in visitors to the decision by companies to bring smaller delegations and added that the event remains a key meeting for important industry players from Europe and the US. Companies from Turkey, Italy and Morocco featured prominently in the 95 exhibitors present, 20% of whom were making their debut at the event.

73% of visitors were from outside Spain and included representatives from Abercrombie&Fitch, Burberry, H&M and Urban Outfitters. Domestic companies such as Inditex and El Corte Inglés were also present. Visitor numbers from Italy, Germany and the UK were high and the number of visitors from Asia and South America was consistent with previous editions.
