Patagonia reinforces marketing team

Outdoor brand Patagonia has appointed Cory Bayers as vice president of marketing. He will also join the company’s senior management team, reporting directly to CEO Rose Marcario.

In his new role, Mr Bayers key responsibility will be to help Patagonia maintain its position as a leader in innovation and responsible practices. He will also help to spread the message of the brand’s core values.

His most recent position was global brand manager at Canadian yogawear specialist Lululemon. He has also spent time as global marketing lead at Norwegian outdoor brand Helly Hansen.

“Cory is a thoughtful leader with an impressive track record of devising and executing successful creative concepts and marketing strategies relevant to passionate groups with a sense of mission and purpose,” said Ms Marcario.

Patagonia also announced that Ryan Shadrin would become vice president of global direct-to-consumer operations. This role will see him help develop and grow the online and in-store experience for the brand’s customers.
