Kraig makes progress on US army contract

Spider silk-based fibre developer Kraig Biocraft has delivered the first samples of its Dragon Silk product to the US army for independent testing.

The company revealed that it provided samples of individual silk filaments as well as finished Dragon Silk thread for evaluation. 

“The speed that our Indiana facility was able to ramp up to meet this request helps to confirm that we have the ability to promptly deliver a top quality, cost-effective fibre to the Army and future commercial customers,” said Kraig chief operating officer Jon Rice.
