Polartec creates insulation with 80% recycled content
Textile firm Polartec has launched an insulation to add to its range of temperature-regulating fabrics.

Polartec Power Fill is a pliable matrix of spun polyester yarns with a proprietary hollow fibre construction that is soft and durable, forming air pockets that capture body heat. 

A melt process bonds the hollow fibres, increasing durability and drapability, eliminating the need for scrims or other stabilizers, said Polartec. It is made with 80% post-consumer recycled content.

“We’re proud to deliver an insulation technology to our customers that enables the design of better products with Polartec premium quality,” said Polartec CEO Gary Smith.
