Ibex to cease operations in 2018

Outdoor clothing company Ibex has announced it has begun the process of closing down its current business and expects to cease operations in February 2018.

In November, sporstextiles.com reported that the company had laid off 12 of its employees in Vermont, US. It insisted, however, that there were no plans to shut down its overall operations.

Earlier in the year, Ibex said it would wind down its sales operations in order to focus on retail.

In a letter entitled ‘End Of The Trail’, Ibex CEO Ted Manning said the company would “cease operations as we know them sometime in February”. He added that the passion for the brand “is very much alive”.
