Archroma sets sights on water saving with training initiatives
Dyemaker and chemicals company Archroma has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature to promote water conservation in the textile industry.

They will raise awareness through training programmes by introducing new processes to mills and textile manufacturers in Pakistan.

Mujtaba Rahim, CEO of Archroma Pakistan, said: “Water conservation is the key to the sustainability of our industry. By recycling and reuse water, we can save fresh-water reservoirs.”

Archroma’s Sustainable Effluent Treatment plant at Jamshoro has 80% water recovery, which means the local community receives 11,000 gallons of free drinking water daily.
