ZDHC targets denim industry in latest push

02/11/2017
The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation has partnered with Kingpins Transformers, a summit series operated by the organiser of the Kingpins denim shows, to promote sustainable chemistry and accelerate innovations that improve environmental performance in the denim industry.

It is the latest phase in ZDHC’s mission to advance the textile, leather and footwear industry towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals.

Kingpins Transformers is a bi-annual summit programme that made its debut in 2015. Since then, it has focused on advocating for innovation in the jeans industry to make it more environmentally viable, socially responsible and financially sound.

Its collaboration with ZDHC will be led by two key contributors, chief marketing officer of Garmon Chemicals, and Miguel Sanchez, head of business development for denim and casual wear at Archroma.
