Mr Uthmann left his role as Polygiene chief executive in January. He is now vice president of new ventures and strategies.
Polygiene confirmed that Mr Uthmann sold 100,000 shares in the company on February 28 and a further 50,000 on March 2. His partner also sold 62,000 shares at the end of February. This means the couple have sold a total of 212,000 shares over the past week.
Polygiene explained that Mr Uthmann informed the company that these sales were made to fund the purchase of a house. It added that its former CEO has confirmed he intends to retain his remaining shares.
Following the sales, Mr Uthmann and “related persons” hold approximately 458,000 shares in Polygiene.
