New sole from Vibram offers 'extreme grip'

The company described the new technology, which it calls Vibram Wrap & Go, as “a natural evolution” of the idea on which its well-known Furoshiki wrapping sole is based.
It has explained that the Vibram Megagrip rubber that features in the sole offers extreme grip, while the incorporation of its Litebase rubber technology brings down the weight of the sole. The fact that the sole wraps around the upper part of the footwear is said to offer good lateral production and high impermeability.
In addition, Vibram has said this product is better from a sustainability point of view as it eliminates waste and allow for the use of sustainable midsole materials.
At the recent Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Denver (January 30-February 1) Vibram presented a limited edition collection of shoes featuring the Wrap & Go sole. These products will go on sale at the company’s new Consumer Experience Centre in Boston.
