Apparel leads Puma to first-half growth

Sports brand Puma has reported sales of more than €2.5 billion in the first half of 2019, an increase of 15.5% compared to the same period of last year.

Growth was led by apparel, which brought in revenue of than €900 million, 24.8% more than in the first six months of 2018. Revenue from footwear was 11.7% higher at more than €1.2 billion. The rest of Puma’s revenue came from accessories.

Puma recorded good performance across all geographical regions, with revenue from the Asia-Pacific region 25.4% higher year-on-year and revenue from the Americas up 18.1%. Growth was slightly slower in the EMEA region (+6.9%).
