Vollebak chooses pomegranate dye for latest hoody
UK-based outdoor brand Vollebak’s latest product is a hoody made from lyocell that is garment dyed in a vat of pomegranate dye.

The Plant and Pomegranate Hoodie is made from lyocell from sustainably managed eucalyptus trees; the fabric is made in Germany and Portugal, where the garment is also made.

The company said: “5,000 years ago our ancestors made their clothes from nature, using grass, tree bark, animal skins and plants. But for the last few centuries we’ve been heading in the wrong direction. We need to get back to the point where you could throw your clothes away in a forest and nature would take care of the rest.”

It claims that the hoody is compostable as it “starts its life in nature and is designed to end up there too”.
