Vollebak partners Polartec for 100 year sweatshirt

Polartec has developed flame-resistant fabrics for the US military for more than 10 years. “Our aim was to let anyone benefit from this technology,” said Vollebak.
“The material the 100 Year Sweatshirt is built from is designed to protect you in the most dangerous situations, from flash fires to arc flash, while remaining highly breathable and high-wicking.”
The sweatshirt comes with four-way stretch in a compact structure that traps thousands of thermal air pockets, making it four times more windproof than regular fleece, according to the company.
It added: “All our 100 Year gear is made from materials with properties that normal clothing simply doesn’t have. It’s built to cope with whatever the next century holds.”
