VF invests in state-of-the-art distribution centre

Clothing and footwear group VF Corp has opened a distribution centre in the UK’s Midlands as part of a wider investment to “transform its supply chain” and reduce lead times.

The North Face, Timberland and Vans brands will be served from the state-of-the-art 600,000 square foot centre that will be able to serve 90% of the market within a day.

Martino Scabbia Guerrini, VF’s president of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region said: “This exciting development, which supports the evolution of our supply chain business model, bolsters our UK presence, our number one market in EMEA.

“It also underlines our commitment to be a consumer-minded, retail-centric and hyper-digital enterprise as part of our company transformation and long-term growth strategy.”

VF opened a UK headquarters, Axtell House in London, in 2019.

The US group has 1,800 employees in the UK, across 90 owned and operated stores, seven offices and 2 distribution centres.
