Gore-Tex makes mountain gear rental strides

Conceptualised as “on-demand” outerwear, the brand said that its “seamless” rental experience would help all winter sports enthusiasts take to the mountain “in the best possible, highest performing gear”, which is both reservable in advance and available via walk-ins.
The core collection of rental-ready garments is exclusive to the Outerwear on Demand concept. Articles will not be available to buy, Gore-Tex emphasised, but rather added how the collection had been designed with rental’s specific demands in mind, incorporating unspecified new technologies and features.
Product innovation specialist at Gore’s fabrics division, Chris Brennan, elaborated: “Gore-Tex Outerwear on Demand is the next step in making it easier than ever to enjoy winter activities in legendary Gore technology, without owning or transporting multiple garments.
“We’ve set out to create a very technical, very durable line of clothing that will stand up to frequent use and cleaning, providing consumers with the Gore-Tex product experience and a convenient alternative to purchasing when it comes to outfitting themselves for winter adventure.”
