Kolon Sport on track to do $600m in China and Korea
According to South Korean media, local activewear brand Kolon Sport expects to achieve $600 million in sales by year’s end.
Kolon is currently on track to bring in $300 million apiece in both China and Korea, reports said, where it operates roughly 200 stores and has its headquarters in the city of Seoul.
The company initially entered the Chinese market back in 2006 and opened flagship store Kolon 1973 in Shanghai in April.
Data for early August already suggests year-on-year growth rate of 20% in South Korea.
The value of Kolon-branded footwear, including its specialist trail running and rock climbing shoes, was likewise up 40% versus a year previous.
