Next-gen textiles council relaunches in Busan
The port city of Busan in South Korea has relaunched its future textile materials development council at an event sponsored by local administrators.
Although first set up in 2017, the body had not convened since the onset of covid-19 in the country more than three years ago.
The event, which took place in mid-June, was attended by around 50 individuals, including representatives from nearby textile businesses. Organisers outlined a plan of action, new mechanisms of support for members and issued details of the latest technical seminars and networking opportunities for industry professionals based in and around the city.
Local media said it expects the council will play a pivotal role in knitting closer ties, more fruitful collaboration and growth among businesses who call the area home.
