Rudolf releases bio-based update to its Hydrocool range

Bavarian textile chemicals supplier Rudolf has unveiled a host of new, “durable” bio-based formulations as part of an update to its Hydrocool moisture management line of performance chemistry for activewear applications.

Derived from renewable raw material, the products’ bio-based ingredients have been engineered to deliver “highly performing, long-lasting and undoubtedly safe” textile effects for both human skin and the environment alike, commented business development manager, Stephan Muller. Their efficiency is also equal to the company’s original Hydrocool line-up, it said.

Finishing agent Ruco-Pur Bio SLB, suitable for synthetics, cellulosics and blended fibres, contains 43% bio-based content, whereas soil release agent Feran Bio ICR has 87%. Both provide “maximum wash resistance”, Rudolf added.
