Fulgar, CHT present one-bath ‘shortcut’ for Q-Cycle
Italian fibre manufacturer Fulgar has again joined hands with Swiss-German textile finishing and dyeing technology provider CHT to combine dyeing and post-treatment fixation in a single step.
The “shortcut” process, called BeSo Responsible, is primarily geared towards Fulgar’s Q-Cycle product, a post-consumer recycled polyamide or nylon 6.6 yarn.
BeSo stands for CHT’s “best solution” concept.
The method unites levelling agent Sarabid IPM and post-treatment Pafix SBS, both by CHT, in the one dye bath, making supplementary post-treatment redundant.
Time, water and energy savings depend upon the desired hue.
Subsequent application of CHT’s Bemacid line of acid colourants such as Bemacid N-TF or F-T will deliver higher colour solidity, improved colour fastness and increased quality overall, the group said.
The “shortcut” debuted at Performance Days in Munich between March 20 and 21.
