Haider Ackermann joins high-flying Canada Goose
Outdoor brand Canada Goose has named Haider Ackermann as its first creative director and published its results for the year ending March 24.
The Colombian-born French designer will be based in Paris and work alongside CEO Dani Reiss to guide the company “into its next era”.
Total revenue for fiscal 2024 increased 10% to $1.3 billion.
Highlights for 2024 included the introduction of Generations, a recommerce platform, in Canada; launching nine collaborations; buying Italian knitwear manufacturer Paola Confectii; and the growth of its footwear collection, with its first trainers.
It also opened 17 stores, bringing the total to 68.
Mr Reiss said: “We are excited about the opportunity ahead of us as we begin fiscal 2025. We believe the initiatives planned for this year will elevate our business platform, increase operational excellence, enhance our brand and marketing to drive deeper connectivity with consumers.”
