Swiss clothing collector Tell-Tex has announced plans for a large-scale textile recycling centre with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year, which will be in operation at the start of 2026.

This business plan, developed with consultancy support from Rematters Textile Recycling Solutions, includes innovative methods for automated sorting, accessory removal and textile-to-fibre recycling.

Hakan UCAR, co-founder of Rematters, states: “We are thrilled to have conducted this study for Tell-Tex, Loacker Group, as this is the first post-consumer textile recycling of this kind in Switzerland and one of the few at this industrial scale in Europe.”
