Textile expert to boost WFSGI’s offering

The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) is aiming to provide members with more information on the latest fabrics with the appointment of Dhyana van der Pols to the new role of head of textile innovation and manufacturing.

She will create a ‘competence centre on textile intelligence’ as well as advise on machinery and automation, sourcing solutions, design assistance and pre-production.

She is the founder of Nash International, a company that advises sportswear and textile companies, and was head of design, purchase and production at Netherlands-based Vilenzo and a plant manager in factories in Pakistan, Madagascar, Tunisia and Sri Lanka.

Robbert de Kock, secretary general of the WFSGI, said: “Dhyana is a highly sophisticated textile expert with a wealth of experience in international business and trade development, production and process management, corporate supply chain strategy, CSR and trends translation to product development.”
