He succeeds Wolfgang Schnellbuegel, former managing director of SPORT 2000 International.
The committee maintains relations with international federations and sport organisations on sporting-goods related issues including kit and advertisement regulations for major events.
“We are in close collaboration with sport governing bodies such as the International Olympic Committee and International Sport Federations to simplify and align the manufacturing identification guidelines. Therefore it is very important that with Marc we have found a successor who adequately has a wealth of experience in brand marketing and relations to international sports organisations,” said Robbert de Kock, WFSGI secretary general.
Mr Pinsard, a French national, is fluent in French and Japanese and has more than 20 years of experience. He worked at Babolat and Reebok before joining Asics in 2009.
