Netherlands-based DSM Dyneema has bought Cubic Tech Corporation, a producer of ultra-lightweight laminates and fabrics, most of them based on Dyneema high-performance materials.

The Dutch company says the purchase will boost its downstream knowledge in terms of the processing of UHMwPE fibre and the production of uni-directional fabrics, and enhances the company’s innovation pipeline.

Cubic Tech is focused applications such as racing yacht sails, equipment and sportswear.
