Timberland: Organic and recycled content percentage continues to decline
04/12/2015
For 2014, this figure was 19%, down from 37% in 2013.
The VF owned brand has also revamped the way it reports its factories' performance, classifying them as accepted or developmental, rather than accepted, accepted to be upgraded and rejected.
Its third quarter results were slightly better than previous quarters: of 336 factories, 40% were rated accepted, and 60% were rated developmental.
There were 36 new suppliers selected during the quarter, with 96% scoring accepted or developmental.
In Q2, 36% of 320 were rated as ‘accepted’, which was a 16% improvement over the first.
