Under Armour brings in Oberalp CEO to head European division

Sports brand Under Armour has named Massimo Baratto as vice president and managing director of its business in Europe. The appointment is part of the brand’s focus on growing its international business. 

Mr Baratto joins Under Armour from Italy-based outdoor group Oberalp, where he served as chief executive. The group owns alpine footwear brand Salewa and ski-boot brand Dynafit and is an international distributor for Under Armour, Speedo and Fischer.

He will be responsible for driving profitable growth and brand awareness, and building strategic partnerships in Europe. He will be based in Amsterdam.
