EOCA prepares for ISPO fundraising drive

30/01/2019
The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has offered details about some of the fundraising activities that it will organise at the forthcoming ISPO exhibition in Munich (February 3-6).

The organisation has said the “generosity” of its members means its Conservation Fundraiser will boast its largest ever number of items. Offerings included hammocks, skiwear, mugs, climbing harnesses, and a range of other things. Footwear brand Keen has donated 60 pairs of walking boots.

EOCA also highlighted the ReDesign initiative from Bergans of Norway, which will see the brand offer repairs for old outdoor gear. It will also host live demonstrations of small products being made from old textiles or leftover materials. All proceeds from this event will go into EOCA’s budget for its 2019 spring projects.

On the evening of February 4, EOCA will host a happy hour on its stand, during which it will launch its new project to clean-up and reduce the use of everyday single-use plastic. This initiative is known as Plastic Free: Mountains to Sea.
