WSA technical editor chairs discussion at Performance Days

18/11/2019
As in previous years, WSA technical editor, Sophie Bramel, moderated a high-level panel discussion at the November edition of Performance Days in Munich.

On November 14, she chaired a discussion on the subject of designing for recycling. The focus was on the benefits of reducing the number of different materials in a product, which flies in the face of the long-standing tradition of blending fibres to add particular functional or aesthetic characteristics to textiles.

Taking part in the panel discussion were Cesare Citterio, chief executive of Cifra, Jose Fernandez, founder and president of Global Merino, Dr Rüdiger Fox, chief executive of Sympatex, Jochen Lagemann, senior vice-president and managing director for Europe and Asia of PrimaLoft, and Anne Prahl, a sustainable design consultant.
