The South Korean operator of outdoor brand Eider, K2 Korea Group, has entered into a licensing and distribution agreement with French outdoor and winter sports company Snowleader. 

Founded in France in 1962, Eider has been owned by Calida Group via its subsidiary Lafuma since 2008. Seoul-based K2 Korea Group acquired the international trademark rights to Eider in 2020.   

In teaming up with Snowleader, Eider will move to establish a “fully-fledged” European business operation once again, according to South Korean media reports. This will involve a dedicated product development, distribution and marketing strategy, ready for an expected autumn-winter 2023 launch.
