Andar’s latest line has a shapewear feel
Seoul-based athletic leisure brand Andar has launched Relair, a new line of sports leggings, bras and crop tops developed using Lycra’s cooling Beauty fabric (also known as Lycra Shaping) after four years of research in-house.
The name Relair is a portmanteau of the words “relax” and “air”. Its key feature, Lycra Beauty, is tested for both shaping performance and comfort and the fabric structure allows moisture to reach beyond the outer surface, where it can evaporate quickly.
Also present is Israeli manufacturer Nilit’s Sensil nylon 6.6 fibre, well-regarded for its odour control, moisture management and temperature regulating properties, plus comfortable look and feel.
Andar said that it had worked to improve everything from design to fabric and sewing techniques to enable it to introduce what it described as a premium collection, made from “the finest yarns”.
