Adidas and Reebok alum steps up at Fila
Sports brand Fila, headquartered in Seoul, has named Todd Klein (pictured) president of its North American business after Jennifer Estabrook retired in December.
Mr Klein is an alumnus of both Reebok and adidas, where he was most recently vice-president of advanced concepts marketing. Earlier in his career, he held the position of global sports marketing director at Reebok, formerly part of the adidas group’s portfolio.
“I am looking forward to working with the Fila team to unleash the full potential of the brand and athlete experience,” the appointee commented, describing Fila as "iconic" and praising both its style and performance.
High on Mr Klein’s agenda will be the successful roll-out of the brand’s five-year strategy, 'Winning Together', first revealed in 2022. Parent company Fila Holdings hopes this plan will deliver sustainable growth by “redefining” brand value through more closely aligned global product design and marketing strategies.
Chinese sports group Anta, the owner of the Fila franchise in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau since 2009, announced that Wu Yonghua would be taking the helm at Fila China from February 1 earlier this month.
