Shenzhen World hosts major Greater Bay Area fair
Hall 17 of the 500,000-square-metre Shenzhen World exhibition and convention centre, opened in November 2019, played host to three concurrent trade shows between March 16 and 18, all aimed at strengthening Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) exports.
With a population of over 70 million people, the area encompasses special administrative regions Hong Kong and Macao, plus nine of Guangdong’s biggest cities: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Zhongshan, Huizhou and Zhaoqing.
The three exhibitions variously spotlighted suppliers of textiles and clothing, sewing machinery and accessories, and footwear machinery and materials. According to Chinese media, over 400 companies took part, including Anta Sports, Nike, Erke, Pou Chen, Zhongshan Wei Li Textile, Guangzhou Qianyu Intelligent Technology, New Belle Shenzhen Footwear, Juki, Dongguan Aoxiao Weaving, Shanggong Shenbei Group and others.
