CTES sponsors ‘green’ dyeing and printing upskilling
More than 70 participants from China-based manufacturers including sports brand 361°, nylon producer Fujian Yongrong Jinjiang and chemicals supplier Shishi Ruiying Textile Technology underwent two days of training in “green” dyeing and printing late last month, local media have reported.
Jointly sponsored by China Textile Engineering Society (CTES) and Quanzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the upskilling sessions were delivered by experts from the country’s National Advanced Printing and Dyeing Technology Innovation Center, established in 2020, as well as educators from Qingdao University, Zhejiang Textile and Garment Vocational and Technical College, and more.
The emphasis was on improving international competitiveness through enhanced quality and efficiency and those eligible received a certificate of completion as evidence of their participation. Training took place in the city of Shishi, located between Xiamen and Quanzhou in Fujian province.
CTES already plans to facilitate more sessions in and around the Quanzhou area in the future, reports added, to help meet local textile and fashion industry development needs.
Recent figures from China’s National Bureau of Statistics suggest that the national dyeing and printing industry generated higher revenues, but lower profits, last year versus 2021.
