ReHubs Europe aims to make clothes recycling the norm
Europe’s textiles and clothing association, Euratex, has launched a non-profit association aimed at “making recycling in Europe a reality”.

ReHubs Europe will invest in textile recycling capacity with the ambition of achieving 2.5 million tons of fibre-to fibre textile recycling by 2030.

It will support its members to find partners, knowledge and funds.

ReHubs will also support the societal challenge of collecting, sorting and recycling up to 7.5 million tons of textile waste generated every year, said Euratex. A new EU waste directive will establish mandatory collection schemes.

The association will commission studies and publish a European textile recycling roadmap.
