Adidas extends partnership with Parley for the Oceans

The collaboration sees marine plastic waste transformed into a performance yarn that is suitable for use in footwear and apparel. It has already resulted in the creation of a range of products, including running shoes, football jerseys and swimwear.
For the UltraBoost X, the Parley Ocean Plastic yarn is knitted into a Primeknit upper. The shoe is specifically tailored for women, with a shape designed using Adidas’s Aramis motion-capture technology, which allowed the brand to identify where a female foot most needs support during running.
