MLS sides to wear Adidas Parley football jerseys

The three new styles – UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST X and UltrBOOST Uncaged – will be available from May 10. They are made from marine plastic intercepted from coastal areas that has been transformed into a performance yarn suitable for use in footwear and apparel.
Adidas has explained that the new products are being released in order to make Adidas x Parley footwear “more readily available to consumers around the world”. They also form part of the company’s commitment to create one million pairs of shoes made from up-cycled marine plastic in 2017.
The company also revealed that four teams from Major League Soccer (MLS), the highest level of professional soccer in the US, will wear jerseys made from Parley Ocean Plastic in forthcoming matches. On April 23, New York City FC, Orlando City SC, LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders will follow in the footsteps of European giants FC Bayern Munich and Real Madrid CF in taking to the pitch wearing Adidas x Parley jerseys.
