EOCA invites public to vote on conservation funding

10/10/2017
The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has announced that voting is now open for the latest stage of its public conservation funding initiative.

The organisation now organises biannual votes in which members of the public can choose which conservation project it should support. The first vote of this year, which took place in spring, attracted more than 60 million votes.

The projects are split into three categories – water, mountain and forest, and EOCA has published its approved shortlist for each category. The project from each category that receives the most votes will be granted funding of up to €30,000.

The public can view the three shortlists and vote on the EOCA website until October 18.
