Columbia will skip January’s Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show

The brand explained it has made this “difficult decision” following an annual review of the brand’s investments. “It became clear to us that now is the best time to change the direction in a few aspects of our business,” it said, adding that “a strategic refocusing of resources” would take place to drive better results.
In a statement, Columbia reiterated its commitment to its wholesale partners and to the outdoor industry and said it would continue to support change in recreation policy, to advocate for sustainable innovation and to work to increase outdoor participation.
It gave no indication of whether it would attend future editions of Outdoor Retailer.
