Stage set for last OutDoor show in Friedrichshafen
More than 950 exhibitors from 40 countries will head to Friedrichshafen, on the shores of Lake Constance, from June 17-20 for the final edition of the OutDoor exhibition to take place at this location.

As well as being OutDoor’s swansong in Friedrichshafen, this summer’s show also marks its 25th edition.

Following an extensive tender process, Munich was announced in February as the new home of OutDoor, ahead of Hamburg and Friedrichshafen.

The decision to appoint Messe München as the new organiser was made by members of the European Outdoor Group (EOG), which owns the show. Messe München is also responsible for ISPO.

"For the jubilee edition OutDoor 2018, we’ve organised a high-quality show with strong exhibitor attendance to meet visitor expectations,” said Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen, the event’s current organiser. “With the OutDoor, we’re offering our community a wide range of opportunities to develop business, make new contacts, and strengthen existing links.”

The show covers a wide range of products including apparel and footwear, backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, and camping and climbing equipment.

For the 2018 edition. OutDoor is continuing with its focus on running and will again offer the Running Centre. This special platform provides space for exhibitors from this sector and for information about running to be offered. The show will also have an area dedicated to urban fashion.

Away from the show floor, the 2018 OutDoor Conferences will present and discuss important industry trends and issues. Topics covered will include the digitalisation of fashion and sustainability in textile production. The European Outdoor Group will also provide an update on the situation in the European outdoor market.

The 13th OutDoor Industry Awards will be presented during a grand award ceremony on the first night of the show.
