Italian companies prepare for Colombiatex

They will exhibit at a zone jointly set up by ACIMIT and the Italian Trade Agency. The companies taking part are: Arioli, Beschi, Biancalani, Btsr, Caipo, Corino, Crosta, Fadis, Ferraro, Itema, Mcs, Ratti, Sicam, Tecnorama and Ugolini.
ACIMIT has said the Italian textile machinery sector has benefited from the growing demand from Colombia’s textile and garment industry. In 2017, the last full year for which data is available, exports to this country totaled €10 million, although this was down 22% year on year.
The organisation’s president Alessandro Zucchi said: “The ongoing presence of Italian machinery producers at recent editions of Colombiatex confirms the willingness of Colombia’s textile sector to continue a growth process that also requires high quality technology, such as Italian machinery manufacturers are capable of providing.”
