Jilin nears $2bn in revenue for first eight months

23/09/2022
Chinese fibre manufacturer Jilin Chemical Fiber, a major viscose producer, has registered revenues of $1.98 billion (¥14.1 billion) for the first eight months of 2022, suggesting a 35% increase in sales over the year previous.

The company also said its output value over the eight-month period totalled $1.6 billion (¥11.1 billion).

Jilin inaugurated a project to produce more than 135,000 tonnes of differential acrylic fibre, a combination of conventional acrylic and carbon fibre precursor technologies, earlier this month.

Back in spring, the firm announced a 31% rise to its revenues over the first three months, with raw silk, carbon fibre and composite textiles all achieving record highs at the time.
