Coolcore, the maker of fabrics that have a cooling effect on the body, is introducing a new range dyed using Nature Coating’s wood-derived carbon black alternative, BioBlack TX. 

CoolCore fabrics deliver a cooling effect not by chemicals or additives but through the physical shape of its yarns. This patented ‘biomimetic fibre geometry’ is said to optimise the wicking, drying and cooling power of Coolcore fabrics. 

Uptake of Nature Coatings’ clean black pigments has grown recently since it has achieved 100% biobased USDA certification, and is expanding into new markets, including cosmetics. Ferragamo featured BioBlack XT in a Back to Earth capsule last April and it is also used by trendy Taiwanese brand Dycteam.
